The role of a Line Cook at Torchy’s is essential to the heartbeat of the kitchen. As a Line Cook, you become a direct contributor to the creation of the delicious meals that set Torchy's apart. The position is fast-paced and high-volume, requiring you to manage multiple stations which include fry, grill, sauté, steam, and taco assembly. This diverse responsibility means you will be mastering several cooking techniques, from frying items to the desired crispiness, grilling proteins perfectly, cooking ingredients with precision on the sauté station, operating the steam equipment accurately, and assembling tacos to meet stringent quality standards.
You'll be expected to ensure every dish meets Torchy's Damn Good food standards, maintaining quality and presentation before the food reaches the guest. Your dedication to cleanliness and organization directly affects food safety and operational success. Collaboration with other Back of House team members is vital for smooth kitchen operations and timely preparation, especially during peak hours where maintaining efficiency without compromising quality is crucial. The position also includes inventory management tasks like stocking and organizing ingredients to keep the kitchen running efficiently.
