The role offered is for a PRN Housekeeper and Laundry Aide within this skilled nursing facility. Adhering to fire safety policies, using appropriate safety equipment, and following chemical handling protocols are important responsibilities to ensure personal and resident safety. Additionally, attention to detail in tasks such as sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and distributing laundry ensures that residents' clothing and linens are properly maintained. Housekeepers and Laundry Aides are expected to perform duties such as cleaning resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, hallways, and other common spaces using a variety of cleaning techniques including sweeping, dusting, mopping, polishing, waxing, and disinfecting. Special care is taken to ensure that surfaces are free from dirt, grease, stains, and odors, contributing to the overall hygiene and pleasant environment within the facility. The role may involve standing for extended periods and handling laundry loads that can exceed 30 pounds, so physical stamina and the ability to use mechanical lifts and other equipment safely are essential. • High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in housekeeping or laundry preferred
• Ability to follow facility policies and procedures
• Ability to handle physical demands including lifting and standing
