The role of Kitchen Supervisor at Hotel Forty Five, part of the Mainsail Hospitality family, is a critical position within the food and beverage department. The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the outlet kitchens, ensuring efficient kitchen operations, and assisting the Executive Sous Chef with daily tasks. This position requires a hands-on leader who can motivate and develop kitchen staff, maintain high standards of food production and presentation, and oversee sanitation practices. The Kitchen Supervisor plays a key role in controlling food costs, prioritizing production tasks, and implementing new procedures to enhance kitchen performance.
This full-time position demands excellent organizational and leadership skills as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong time management skills, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and the ability to communicate effectively with staff and other departments. Physical demands include the ability to stand or sit for extended periods, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and work long hours when necessary. Mental demands involve making quick sound judgments, handling workplace challenges proactively, and maintaining confidentiality.
