We are currently seeking a dedicated Cook to join our senior living community team. This role is critical to ensuring that all residents receive efficient, timely, and friendly food service while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, quality, and presentation. The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving food items for breakfast, lunch, or dinner as assigned, following recipes closely to ensure consistency, while also managing inventory and stock in coordination with the Food Service Director. This role demands knowledge in special dietary needs of seniors, the ability to perform short order cooking, and a willingness to learn and adapt new culinary techniques to meet and exceed resident dining expectations. The ideal candidate is dependable, punctual, self-motivated, and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team. A successful Cook contributes directly to resident satisfaction by promoting quality dining experiences tailored to individual dietary requirements.   • Minimum of one year of cooking experience including some short order cooking and quantity cooking
  • Must possess Serv-Safe certification or willing to obtain upon hire
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Willingness to learn new food preparation techniques and presentation
  • Knowledge of special dietary needs of residents and required meal prep techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a team and display team behaviors
  • Ability to effectively deal with conflict or customer complaints

  • Must follow all food safety and equipment safety procedures
