The Kitchen Assistant position is a pivotal role within our food service team, tasked with supporting the smooth operation of our kitchen to ensure safe and efficient food preparation and service. This part-time role operates Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm with some schedule flexibility, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking meaningful work in a supportive community environment. The Kitchen Assistant assists the Food Service Manager with daily kitchen tasks that include preparing and serving food, organizing supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in accordance with YMCA as well as state and federal regulations. They help with inventory management and ensure that all sanitary and food safety guidelines are rigorously followed.
