The role offered is a full-time Food Preparation Supervisor position, based at Blackberry Mountain, with a competitive hourly wage ranging from $17.00 to $25.00. This position focuses on overseeing and executing all food preparation activities related to Mid-Day pool service as well as In Room Dining and Take Out dining services. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining the quality and consistency of culinary offerings, ensuring that food is prepared to the highest standards and delivered efficiently to guests.
The Food Preparation Supervisor is responsible for a variety of culinary tasks, including vegetable preparation, meat fabrication, sauce making, sautéing, cooking meats, frying, and more, all under the direction and guidance of the Chefs. This hands-on role requires attention to detail, adherence to recipes, and maintaining an organized and sanitary kitchen environment. The position also includes responsibilities such as managing kitchen storage areas, conducting daily mise en place, ensuring food safety and quality through taste testing, handling special dietary requests, and completing daily and weekly inventory reports as assigned by management.
In addition to direct food preparation duties, this role demands solid organizational skills to coordinate production across multiple days and smoothly transition responsibilities among team members. The Food Preparation Supervisor must work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen, demonstrating the ability to multi-task while maintaining a service-oriented attitude. The candidate must also be comfortable assisting with receiving food deliveries and supporting group service dinners or special Three Sisters dinner events as needed.
This role requires excellent communication skills, including verbal and written abilities, to coordinate effectively with team members and deliver timely service to guests. A basic understanding of math and sound judgment in decision-making aligned with company goals is essential. Physically, the candidate should be capable of standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and safely operating kitchen equipment and company vehicles such as golf carts.
