The Housekeeper is responsible for the sanitation and upkeep of assigned areas to ensure they meet high standards of cleanliness and safety. This position involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks, including daily sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, and disinfecting of various facility spaces such as rooms, bathrooms, laboratories, and offices. Utilizing commercial cleaning equipment and adhering to infection control protocols, the Housekeeper plays a key role in upholding the facility's sanitary standards. Beyond routine cleaning, the role requires attention to detail in handling soiled linens, operating washers and dryers, and managing cleaning supplies and equipment. The Housekeeper is also responsible for preparing rooms for meetings and events, ensuring that environments are not only clean but also inviting and well-arranged. Safety procedures, including adherence to universal precautions and material safety data sheet (MSDS) guidelines, are integral to the position to protect both staff and clients from potential hazards. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to follow instructions and coordinate with supervisors. Preference is given to candidates with prior housekeeping experience in commercial, clinical, or healthcare environments. Training and certifications such as CPR, de-escalation, and first aid may be required or provided, depending on the facility's standards and regulations. • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• previous experience in housekeeping in a commercial, clinical, or healthcare environment preferred
• basic reading, writing, speaking skills and understand English sufficient to provide and receive instructions and directions required
• CPR and de-escalation certification may be required
• first aid may be required based on state or facility
