The Environmental Services Department at Dayton Children's - South Campus plays a critical role in maintaining the hospital's high standards of cleanliness and safety. We are currently seeking a dedicated and hardworking Housekeeper to join our team on the 2nd shift, which runs from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, including rotating weekends and holidays. This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. The Housekeeper is primarily responsible for terminal cleaning of patient rooms immediately after discharge, which is crucial for preventing hospital-acquired infections and ensuring a safe environment for incoming patients. In addition to patient rooms, the role involves cleaning nursing units, surgical areas, offices, laboratories, waiting areas, and public restrooms, thereby supporting the overall functionality and hygiene standards of the hospital. The Housekeeper’s daily tasks are varied and essential, including making beds, emptying trash bins, wiping down medical and office equipment, cleaning furniture, polishing floors, vacuuming carpets, and laundering hospital linens.
