The Service Porter position at Don Ayres Acura plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of the dealership's service department. This full-time role requires working Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm or 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, with occasional Saturdays from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, offering schedule flexibility by providing a day off during weeks with Saturday shifts. The Service Porter is responsible for supporting daily service operations by efficiently managing vehicle movements, assisting technicians, and maintaining a clean, organized environment that enhances the customer experience from vehicle drop-off to pick-up. Ideal candidates are dependable, customer-focused, and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-energy work setting. Key responsibilities include greeting customers, opening vehicle hoods for technician access, conducting battery tests, managing service tags, and ensuring the customer reception area remains open by appropriately moving and parking vehicles. Additional duties involve vehicle washing, vacuuming, tire pressure checks, and maintaining a clean reception area. The Service Porter also plays an important part in customer service by informing Service Advisors of arriving customers and providing basic information when needed.
