We are currently hiring Housekeepers for the 2026 season to join our shipboard hotel team. This temporary position lasts approximately 28 weeks, during which you will live and work aboard one of our elegant vessels. Housekeepers play a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests, ensuring every stateroom, common space, and facility meets our high standards of comfort and cleanliness. The Housekeeper is responsible for a variety of tasks including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, managing inventory and linen stocking, attending to guest requests, cleaning upholstery, and assisting with special events such as afternoon teas and evening cocktail parties. In this role, you will represent the American Cruise Lines brand proudly, acknowledging guests personally and maintaining superb service standards throughout the cruise journey. Compensation ranges from $1,000 to $1,400 per week with additional bonuses, and all major living expenses are covered while onboard, providing an extraordinary opportunity to save earnings. The company covers travel to and from the assigned vessel, room and board, uniforms, and paid training.
Working aboard a cruise ship requires dedication, physical stamina, and a positive attitude, as shifts can extend up to 12 hours per day for seven days a week. The role includes emergency and safety responsibilities critical to ship operation and demands employees to adhere to grooming standards, including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings. Drug testing is mandatory as per federal law and Department of Transportation regulations, and alcohol consumption on duty is prohibited.
