The Housekeeper will receive assignments from the Housekeeping Supervisor and is expected to execute daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks to maintain an immaculate environment. Responsibilities encompass cleaning diverse areas including resident rooms, bathrooms, public spaces, and associated fixtures and furnishings. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in cleaning techniques such as dusting, mopping, disinfecting, and spot-cleaning to ensure all areas are hygienic and orderly. The Housekeeper will also handle urgent housekeeping duties during incidents, manage waste disposal efficiently, and replenish necessary supplies like bathroom essentials. The role includes terminal cleaning duties when residents are discharged or transferred, preparing rooms for new occupants in adherence to established policies. Additionally, the position involves some cooperation with the laundry department, sending soiled linens for processing and assisting when necessary. This position requires ongoing communication with supervisors to report equipment wear, supply needs, and structural defects to facilitate prompt maintenance and uninterrupted service quality. The Housekeeper must maintain exemplary personal appearance standards; the role mandates being clean, well-groomed, and wearing the prescribed uniform at all times. • At least 18 years of age
• high school graduate or equivalent
• able to read, write and speak English
• physically healthy and strong enough to perform duties
• must have yearly TB test or chest x-ray
