The Aviation Security & Regulatory Compliance Manager role at SFO plays a vital part in ensuring the safety and security of airport operations through the leadership and management of aviation security programs. Reporting under general administrative direction, this position is responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of robust security protocols and compliance strategies aligned with federal laws, TSA regulations, and local airport policies. The incumbent oversees the Airport Security Program (ASP) and acts as the primary liaison with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), representing the airport in matters related to security and regulatory compliance. As an Aviation Security & Regulatory Compliance Manager, the successful candidate will lead a high-performing team focused on collaboration and continual improvement in security practices. • Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
• Five years of professional-level experience in aviation operations with three years in airport or air carrier security management
• Three years of supervisory experience
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid California driver’s license prior to employment
• Must obtain Airport Security Coordinator Certification within six months of appointment
• Ability to perform duties on weekends, evenings, and holidays as required
• Successful completion of TSA security clearance including criminal history check and fingerprinting
• Qualification for unescorted access to San Francisco International Airport U.S. Customs Security Area
• Successful medical examination prior to appointment
