At the core of this role is financial management, where the General Manager will maximize revenue through strategic sales initiatives and closely control expenses to deliver profitable operations. The role involves active participation in all sales efforts, including the development and execution of sales plans and budget initiatives to drive occupancy and revenue growth. Effective use of technology and management systems is essential, as the General Manager will oversee reporting and administrative tasks through platforms such as Windows operating systems, spreadsheets, and word processing tools. Enhancing the guest experience is a top priority, with the General Manager responsible for maintaining exceptional service levels, promptly addressing guest concerns, and fostering guest loyalty. This leadership role demands hands-on management of hotel staff, providing motivation, coaching, and performance feedback to maintain a positive, team-oriented workplace culture focused on guest satisfaction.
