The role of Proposal Manager within GE Aerospace’s Software as a Solution (SaaS) business unit is pivotal in advancing the company’s commercial initiatives in the Asia Pacific sales territory. As a Proposal Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire proposal development lifecycle, ensuring that high-quality, timely proposals align with customer requirements and support the profitability and strategic goals of GE Aerospace. This role demands a strong blend of technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and project management skills, with a focus on software sales and service agreements that are often complex in nature. In this position, you will lead multifaceted deal teams, coordinating technical, financial, and commercial bid inputs to craft compelling proposals and risk-managed strategies. Your deep understanding of GE Aerospace’s product lines, diverse sales territories, and competitive landscape will enable you to execute policies and strategies effectively while seizing opportunities for differentiation. The Proposal Manager will also play a key role in contract development and negotiation, ensuring compliance with approved price levels and terms before successfully transitioning approved deals to project execution teams. This role requires seamless communication skills, allowing you to engage and lead discussions across organizational levels, including senior and executive leadership. Managing proposal workflows and pipeline forecasts through tools like Salesforce.com is also integral to this job. Being able to regularly attend and lead meetings aligned with Asia Pacific time zones is essential given the geographic focus of the role. Compensation for this position ranges from $97,000 to $150,000 USD annually, with additional eligibility for discretionary bonuses or commissions based on performance.
