The role reports directly to higher management levels including the Director of Food & Beverage Lounge Operations or Senior Director depending on location, with oversight support from the Senior Director of National Lounge Operations. The General Manager is tasked with managing all operational aspects of the lounge environment, including staffing, cleanliness, inventory management, and equipment functionality. One of the core responsibilities involves maintaining the highest standards of food, service, and ambiance, ensuring every guest experiences exceptional hospitality aligned with both airline and HMSHost standards. The role requires hands-on management and continual improvement efforts to maximize guest and associate satisfaction as well as operational profitability. Daily duties include overseeing associate activities, assigning responsibilities to maintain seamless lounge operations, from opening through closing. The General Manager also monitors product preparation and presentation to meet rigorous quality and company standards. Financial performance is a key focus area, with the incumbent responsible for tracking results and implementing strategic actions to improve financial outcomes. Maintaining quality control records, complying with loss prevention policies, and ensuring all operational protocols are strictly followed are integral parts of the job.
