The role of a Shift Supervisor at ERMC is pivotal in maintaining smooth and safe operational processes at airport facilities. The Shift Supervisor is responsible for creating and managing the shift schedule, including work assignments, training, vacations, breaks, overtime, and ensuring adequate coverage during employee absences. A significant aspect of this role includes coaching, mentoring, and counseling employees to enhance performance in compliance with ERMC and station-specific policies. The position also requires conducting shift meetings to communicate vital information and updates to all team members.
Candidates for this role must possess proven knowledge of cargo operations and preferably some supervisory experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to effectively lead and support team members. Candidates are expected to be knowledgeable about ERMC procedures, safety and security regulations, and FAA standards, enabling them to uphold the highest service and safety standards in a bustling airport environment.
