We are currently seeking a skilled Helicopter Pilot to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing lifesaving air medical transportation services. This full-time role offers an attractive salary range of $87,019 to $95,720, complemented by a $15,000 sign-on bonus and a $40,000 retention bonus after three years. The schedule follows a 7/7 rotation, which allows pilots to have dedicated periods of work followed by ample rest, promoting both professional focus and personal balance. As a Helicopter Pilot at Med-Trans, you will be responsible for operating aircraft that safely transport medical patients between hospitals and from injury sites. Your role includes collaborating closely with medical experts and flight teams to provide seamless transportation that prioritizes patient safety and comfort. You will ensure that all aircraft are flight-ready by adhering to Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and company standards, maintaining cleanliness and thoroughness in pre-flight checks. In addition to flight operation duties, you will maintain accurate records and regulatory documentation to assure compliance with aviation laws and company policies. Effective communication is key; pilots are expected to coordinate with dispatchers, flight crews, medical staff, and facility personnel to facilitate smooth operation. At shift changes, you will provide detailed briefings to incoming pilots and teams, ensuring continuity and clarity in operational status and patient information. Maintaining current certifications and ongoing training is critical to the role, supporting both safety and professional development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong flight experience background, including 2,000 total flight hours and significant time logged in helicopters, turbine helicopters, and night flying conditions. Experience with EC130 aircraft is preferred but not required.
