The Food Runner position at San Manuel Casino and Resort plays a critical role in delivering superior guest experiences by supporting the food and beverage team. Reporting directly to the Supervisor of Food and Beverage, the Food Runner expedites food orders from the kitchen to the dining area, ensuring that each dish is delivered accurately, promptly, and beautifully presented to the correct guests. Beyond simply transporting food, the Food Runner acts as a key liaison between guests, servers, and the culinary team, facilitating smooth communication and anticipating guest needs throughout their dining experience.
This role demands a high level of attentiveness and professionalism as the Food Runner greets guests, verifies orders, offers additional condiments or beverages, and maintains the cleanliness and organization of dining areas. The Food Runner also assists servers by resetting tables, packaging to-go orders, and ensuring that all dining experiences meet the brand’s high standards.                 - High School Diploma or GED
 - Minimum three months of related experience and/or training preferred
 - Ability to read, write and communicate in English
 - Ability to perform simple mathematical operations
 - Ability to manage cash transactions accurately
 - Provide friendly and efficient service to guests and team members
 - Clear and effective communication
 - Ability to work under pressure
 - Obtain and maintain a current Food Handler's Card
 - Obtain and maintain Training for Intervention Procedures (TIPS) Certification
 - May be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license
 - No driving responsibilities required
 - Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
 - Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
 - Must present neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
 - Comply with safety and sanitation standards
