The Front Desk Monitor position is a per diem, part-time role primarily scheduled for weekend shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 8 AM to 4 PM, offering an hourly rate between $18.50 and $19.00. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the security and smooth operation of the program site. As the first point of contact for visitors and clients, the Front Desk Monitor ensures robust control of the entrance by observing all individuals who enter the building, verifying visitor purposes, and managing the reception area with professionalism and attentiveness. The position also involves coordinating client movements in and out of the program, managing deliveries and packages, and ensuring that all visitors adhere to confidentiality protocols.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Front Desk Monitor oversees clients who assist with the reception desk during non-stationed periods, providing training and supervision to ensure consistent service quality. This position demands strong communication and organizational skills to handle visitors, incoming calls, and various administrative tasks efficiently. The role requires the ability to assess client demeanor vigilantly, identifying any signs of intoxication or unusual behavior, which is essential for maintaining safety and order within the facility.
The ideal candidate will be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, detail-oriented, and skilled in interpersonal interactions. They will be responsible for monitoring surveillance video feeds and maintaining awareness of all activities around the building to report any unusual conditions promptly. Managing client Metrocards and assisting with required daily client fingerprint imaging are also key components of the job.
