The current opportunity is for a dynamic, skilled Cook who will play a vital role within White Lodging's food and beverage team. As a Cook at White Lodging, you will be responsible for mentoring entry-level cooks and apprentices and overseeing daily food preparation and production in your assigned food outlet. The role requires strict adherence to company food and beverage procedures, all health department regulations, and federal guidelines to guarantee food safety and quality. You will ensure proper food handling and storage, maintain food and labor cost standards, and verify the freshness of foods and ingredients while following prescribed recipes and portion controls.
Beyond the technical responsibilities, this role involves monitoring guest feedback scores related to food quality and service consistency, contributing directly to the guest experience and overall satisfaction. The Cook will also foster a cooperative and respectful environment among coworkers, encouraging teamwork and a positive workplace culture. Candidates for this position should have knowledge of all cooking and preparation equipment and possess basic culinary skills such as sautéing, broiling, frying, roasting, butchery, garde manger, pantry, and breakfast cookery. While a culinary education or apprenticeship is preferred, it is not mandatory, making this an accessible position for motivated individuals eager to grow their skills in a supportive setting.
