Southcoast Health is currently seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to join its team at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA. This is a per diem position requiring flexibility with day and evening shifts, including weekend and holiday rotations. Working as part of the Food & Nutrition Department, the Food Service Worker supports the main kitchen operations, ensuring all stations are properly set up, maintained, and cleaned according to stringent safety and sanitation protocols. This role is crucial in maintaining high standards for food preparation, storage, and distribution to support patient care and satisfaction.
The Food Service Worker will be responsible for following written instructions meticulously, handling food items with care, and ensuring accurate portion control using the proper utensils. They will perform essential duties like breaking down stations, cleaning kitchen equipment, and ensuring that all food items are correctly labeled, dated, and rotated.
