The opportunity at hand is for the position of a Food Service Worker based at the ST Elias facility located at 4800 Cordova Street, Anchorage, Alaska. This role is vital in supporting the day-to-day food preparation and service operations within a healthcare environment. It is an on-call position, with schedules that vary, providing flexibility to accommodate different availabilities. The pay rate is competitive, set at $19.00 per hour, which aligns well with industry standards for on-call food service roles. As a Food Service Worker, you will be responsible for preparing, presenting, and serving food items while maintaining stringent food safety and sanitation standards. Your duties will include tasks such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables, measuring ingredients, transporting food items safely within the kitchen, appropriately storing leftovers, cleaning work areas, and servicing customers with a friendly and efficient approach. Additionally, the role requires the execution of standardized recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency and quality in every meal served. Customer interaction is an essential element of the job, as is the ability to swiftly resolve any service issues and communicate effectively with supervisors. This position requires a minimum of one year of experience in food service, ensuring that candidates are familiar with basic kitchen operations and food handling procedures.                 - High school diploma or equivalent
 - One year of previous food service experience
 - Ability to work on call schedules with varying days and hours
