The opportunity at hand is a full-time Pilot Instructor role located in Jacksonville, Florida, within Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems division. This position is central to the F-35 training program, where the selected candidate will serve as an F-35 Instructor Pilot and Subject Matter Expert (SME). The role involves facilitating academic and flight instruction through various advanced teaching methodologies such as Electronic Mediated Lecture (EML) and Interactive Courseware (ICW). The instructor will guide trainees through complex flight procedures using Pilot Training Devices (PTD) that are aligned with an approved pilot training syllabus. In addition to hands-on flight instruction using Full Mission Simulators (FMS) and other training devices, the Pilot Instructor will operate Instructor Operating Stations (IOS) and act as a subject matter expert for updating training courseware relevant to pilot instruction. Collaboration is a key component of this role, with close coordination required with team members at Lockheed Martin’s site at JRB - Ft. Worth, TX, to meet comprehensive F-35 training objectives. This position also offers some flexibility, as candidates may be asked to support training objectives and deliver instruction at various F-35 operational or training locations as needed. • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Prior experience as a pilot instructor in military or related aerospace field
• Demonstrated knowledge of F-35 pilot training syllabus and operations
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to operate Instructor Operating Stations and Full Mission Simulators
• Willingness to travel to various F-35 training sites as required
