The position offers the flexibility to reside anywhere within the United States provided the candidate is within one hour of a regional or major airport, facilitating timely response to service calls across the country. The role demands up to 75 percent travel, primarily domestic with occasional international assignments, making it ideal for candidates who enjoy a travel-oriented career. The Field Service Start-Up Technician will be crucial to the successful installation, commissioning, and maintenance of automated finishing systems. They will work closely with customer teams, project managers, and engineers to ensure equipment is properly assembled, calibrated, and functional according to stringent technical standards. Responsibilities include assisting with mechanical installation and start-up at customer sites, conducting thorough equipment commissioning, troubleshooting industrial control systems such as PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and relays, and resolving technical issues promptly on-site. • Education or equivalent experience in mechanical assembly or related technical field
• Experience in field service or equipment commissioning
• Familiarity with industrial controls
• Ability to read technical drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Self-motivation and ability to work independently in the field
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently
• Residence within 1 hour of a major or regional airport
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with clean driving record
