The current opening is for the position of F-35 Support Equipment (SE) Field Support Representative (FSR), tasked with providing direct support to the US Marine Corps at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Yuma, Arizona. This role plays a critical part in sustaining and optimizing the F-35 Program's ground support equipment (GSE). As an SE FSR, you will offer expert technical guidance and logistics support for a wide range of F-35 GSE, assisting organizational-level tenant squadron technicians, military personnel, and GSE mechanics. This position operates in a dynamic environment that demands adherence to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and operational readiness. The SE FSR is responsible for advising both internal and external customers on installation, adaptation, configuration, and enhancement of technical products, programs, and systems. You will serve as a subject matter expert in resolving technical problems and troubleshooting to ensure customer satisfaction while conducting equipment familiarization training across the entire suite of F-35 SE product lines. The role requires working on-site at customer locations and government bases, using engineering data and technical drawings to determine the correct equipment configurations and identifying or helping to define design deficiencies that may limit equipment utility. You will collaborate closely with GSE equipment managers, engineers, suppliers, and reliability engineering teams to resolve issues affecting safety, usability, reliability, and availability. This position involves collecting, archiving, and submitting GSE readiness status reports and identifying trends related to reliability and maintainability that impact operational readiness. The job may require a flexible work schedule, including weekend coverage, to meet on-site customer requirements. Candidates should be prepared for the possibility of deployment with the customer during peacetime and wartime military operations, potentially for both defined and undefined periods. Maintaining deployment readiness qualifications is essential, reflecting the critical nature of the support provided to active F-35 fighter squadrons.
