Saranello's is currently seeking an Executive Sous Chef to join their esteemed team. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of USD $60,000 to USD $90,000 per year, accompanied by ample benefits and opportunities for career growth. The Executive Sous Chef role is pivotal in supporting the Executive Chef and overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards in food quality and team performance. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of Executive Sous Chef experience in a full-service restaurant and the leadership skills necessary to manage and develop kitchen staff effectively.
This role involves managing all back-of-house operations including food preparation, cooking, inventory management, and labor cost control. The Executive Sous Chef will be responsible for running BOH shifts efficiently, leading pre-shift meetings, conducting line and quality checks, ordering food products, and maintaining effective communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams. The role also requires partnering with General Managers and designated managers or chefs to maintain recipe books and uphold culinary standards. In addition to managing operational duties, the Executive Sous Chef will play a critical role in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training new BOH employees, fostering a collaborative work environment, and representing the restaurant’s values through teamwork and professionalism.
