The role of Executive Meeting Manager at The Moran Hotel is a vital position within our Convention Services Department. This position requires exceptional organizational and detail-oriented skills to execute and manage group bookings profitably and effectively. The Executive Meeting Manager is responsible for ensuring that every group under their management meets or exceeds revenue targets as outlined in their contracts. This role demands active contributions towards fostering a high-performance culture by promoting customer advocacy, achieving sustained revenue growth, effective communication, and active team participation. The successful candidate will be skilled in forecasting, budgeting, and client satisfaction initiatives, including raising meeting planner evaluation scores. Responsibilities encompass optimizing room rental and consistently facilitating repeat business through long-term client relationships. Participation in industry organizations like NACE and MPI is expected, along with adeptness in sales techniques such as negotiation and closing skills. The role also entails hotel site inspections and client presentations, creative menu and setup design in collaboration with culinary teams, and overseeing the coordination and evaluation of banquet operations. Experience in Audio/Visual equipment management and profit generation is advantageous. Mastery of computer programs like Delphi, Microsoft Word, and Excel is essential. This position demands versatility in managing group blocks, collaborating with outside vendors, and adherence to attendance and punctuality policies.   • Prior experience in hospitality with specific experience in catering sales
  • At least 1 year of experience in the hospitality industry
  • Experience working at a hotel similar in size and quality

  • Familiarity with hotel features, benefits, and competitors
  • Ability to execute action plans effectively
