The Executive Steward role at Oak View Group is a vital leadership position within the kitchen stewarding team and the broader back-of-house operations. This role requires overseeing event support, cleaning, kitchen safety, employee training, and supervision. The Executive Steward is responsible for ensuring the daily sanitation and cleaning of all kitchen equipment and smallwares align with federal, state, and local health regulations as well as the company’s internal policies. As a key player in operational excellence, the Executive Steward must maintain outstanding attendance and be flexible to work a variable event-driven schedule that includes evenings and weekends. This full-time position offers an annual salary range between $55,000 and $65,000, complemented by a benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, paid time off comprising vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays. The Executive Steward will report to the Sous Chef and will be integral in maintaining an organized, clean, and efficient back-of-house environment. • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum five years of experience in a full-service restaurant or events venue
• At least one year experience leading a team or increased responsibilities
• Basic computer skills including typing and Windows experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to train, motivate and lead staff
• Must be self-directed and team-oriented
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and long shifts
• Physical ability to lift or move 50 pounds or more without help
