Levy and The University of Oklahoma are jointly seeking an Executive Chef to helm the Performance Dining operation, a critical function designed to provide student-athletes with high-quality, nutritious meals tailored to support their rigorous training schedules, recovery processes, and peak athletic performance. The Executive Chef role requires an experienced culinary leader who can expertly blend culinary innovation with nutritional science, partnering closely with sports nutritionists to develop bespoke menus that fuel optimal performance. The position demands a leader who can oversee and inspire a culinary team, uphold exceptional standards of kitchen operations, and ensure seamless execution of all food preparation processes while maintaining strict adherence to safety and sanitation protocols.
This Executive Chef will be instrumental in driving Levy's culinary vision within the athletic department by focusing on scratch cooking with minimal processed foods, engaging directly with athletes and staff during meal times, and maintaining continuous collaboration with the Director of Operations and Nutrition team. Responsibilities include coaching the culinary staff, managing budgets and inventory, implementing process improvements, and aligning menu offerings with evolving food trends and nutritional data. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, culinary expertise, and a passion for athlete-centered nutrition, making a lasting impact on this high-profile performance dining program. This is a full-time leadership position that emphasizes operational excellence, team development, and the highest standards of client satisfaction within an environment dedicated to innovation and diversity.
                - 5+ years of progressive culinary leadership experience, ideally in performance dining, collegiate athletics, or high-volume foodservice
 - strong interpersonal and management skills
 - high level of computer literacy
 - understanding of financial concepts related to inventory and menu costing
 - passion for hospitality, food, and client satisfaction
 - intermediate or advanced understanding of elite athlete nutrition preferred
 - culinary degree strongly preferred
 - ServSafe Manager Certification preferred
