We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Night Auditor to join our team. This role is critical to the smooth operation of our hotel during the overnight hours, typically from 11pm to 7am. The Night Auditor holds the essential duty of performing the night audit which involves the preparation and disposition of all audit work, ensuring the accuracy and balancing of daily financial transactions including revenue from various hotel sources such as movie revenue, telephone postings, valet, laundry, and paperwork from servers and desk agents. Beyond audit responsibilities, the Night Auditor also manages front desk operations during the night shift, providing friendly and efficient service to guests. This position requires a professional demeanor, consistent attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The Night Auditor registers guests, makes reservations, operates the front office computer system, handles cash transactions in compliance with company standards, and processes guest requests promptly and courteously. Key daily tasks include running required reports for the Food and Beverage audit, completing the End of Day process, maintaining logs and records, and distributing daily reports such as the Daily Flash Report. The role demands a thorough understanding of Mid-Continent Hospitality’s policies, safety regulations, and security procedures. Working closely with hotel security and other employees, the Night Auditor maintains radio contact and ensures that emergency protocols are followed to protect guests and staff. This role also entails supervisory qualities as the person must ensure that all employees maintain a friendly, helpful, and courteous demeanor throughout the shift. Candidates for this position should have at least one year of progressive experience in the hotel industry or related fields, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required, with college coursework in a related field being a helpful asset. Preferred candidates will have prior supervisory experience. The position requires the ability to work well under stress, solve problems efficiently, and maintain composure and objectivity in challenging situations. Proficiency in Windows operating systems and company-approved software such as spreadsheets and word processing is essential.
