The Executive Chef role at Levy, specifically at the Moda Center, offers an exciting opportunity to lead culinary operations in a dynamic and high-profile setting. This position comes with a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $130,000 and is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of culinary operations. The Executive Chef will drive on-trend, efficient, safe, and sanitary food production while taking charge of menu development, inventory management, purchasing, food cost controls, and team leadership. The role emphasizes an innovative and guest-focused approach to food as a central element of the overall event experience.
In this capacity, the Executive Chef acts as the visionary behind the food offering, ensuring that every culinary aspect meets Levy's high standards for quality and presentation. The chef will proactively coach and motivate team members, identify opportunities for improvement in food and financial performance, and maintain compliance with all safety and sanitation guidelines. Collaborating closely with purchasing and finance teams, the Executive Chef will develop menus and culinary operations that delight guests while achieving financial targets.
Additionally, this leadership role involves overseeing kitchen management procedures including food safety, daily workflow management, and staff onboarding. The Executive Chef will partner with sales teams to create customized event menus, set standards for chef table setups, and actively participate in management meetings to build cross-department collaboration. Other critical responsibilities include managing the culinary department budget, enforcing progressive discipline when necessary, and ensuring all culinary operations align with Levy's Core Signatures for sanitation and safety.
Preferred candidates will have five or more years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience, demonstrated expertise in planning and managing catering events, and proficiency in current food and catering trends focusing on quality, sanitation, and cost controls. Strong leadership, communication skills across various organizational levels, proficiency in computer skills, and ServSafe Certification are also important. - High school diploma or equivalent
- Five or more years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- Experience in planning and managing catering events

- ServSafe certification
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
