Guenther is a vital leadership role overseeing multiple locations. This position requires a hands-on approach, spending significant time within the operations environment to observe, monitor, train, and coach employees to achieve EHS objectives. The role involves integrating EHS processes, standard operating procedures, and policies while administering various programs and compliance training. The EHS Manager works closely with operations management and staff to cultivate a culture of safety while implementing programs that reinforce efficient and productive EHS work culture. Core responsibilities include driving the implementation of comprehensive EHS programs aimed at achieving performance excellence in areas such as environmental compliance, emergency preparedness, safety risk assessments, waste management, ergonomics, contractor safety, and promoting a strong EHS culture across all facilities. The manager is accountable for monitoring EHS metrics, tracking progress through data analysis, and spearheading continuous improvement opportunities. This role involves maintaining compliance with local regulatory agencies and serving as a key liaison in permitting and reporting requirements. An essential part of the position is providing technical advice and developing strategic plans to address and resolve EHS challenges and issues. The manager supports supervisors and employee Safety Teams, ensuring consistent adherence to regulatory and program requirements. Another critical duty involves conducting training sessions, injury and illness tracking, case management, and leading investigations into accidents and incidents to prevent recurrence. The manager also participates in emergency preparedness activities, including drills and exercises, ensuring all safety protocols are rigorously followed. Candidates for this position are expected to have significant experience in EHS management, preferably within manufacturing environments, and a comprehensive understanding of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and related regulations. Proven skills in managing multiple sites or direct reports are highly valued.
