Patina Group is currently seeking a General Manager for its new craft cocktail bar location, the Diamond Room, in San Diego, California. This role is ideal for an individual with an exceptional knowledge of cocktail bar operations and strong leadership skills. The Diamond Room offers an intimate 40-seat setting featuring luxurious elements such as velvet, mirrors, red leather, dark wood, alongside a unique menu including a fluffy Garibaldi cocktail, caviar, fondue, and a disco ball ambiance. The General Manager will play a pivotal role in guiding the team and overseeing all facets of daily operations while maintaining high standards of service and guest satisfaction.
In this leadership position, you will be responsible for managing the annual budget, labor control, operating expenses, and profit and loss statements. You will utilize your expertise in business finance to ensure that the bar operates efficiently and profitably, constantly monitoring financial performance and implementing strategies for cost reduction and program enhancement. The role also demands collaboration with the Executive Chef to establish standard operating procedures across front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring food safety compliance and quality standards.
Beyond financial oversight, this role emphasizes team development and motivation. You will lead a dedicated group of talented chefs and team members, fostering a positive work environment built on inspiration and collaboration. Administrative duties, including workforce planning, scheduling, sales and labor tracking, inventory management, petty cash handling, and accounts reconciliation, fall under your purview. The position demands strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively address business contacts, team member relations, and customer interactions.
The anticipated salary for this full-time position ranges from $78,400 to $105,800 annually, complemented by an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or an uncapped sales incentive plan. This compensation package reflects the company’s recognition of the importance of skilled leadership and high performance.
