This part-time Dishwasher/Utility position is a fundamental role within the restaurant, directly contributing to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency that Red Lobster is known for. A dishwasher/utility team member is responsible for cleaning and maintaining various areas of the restaurant, including dishware, flatware, glassware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils. Using specialized equipment such as industrial dishwashers, the team member ensures that all kitchen tools and dining items are sanitized thoroughly, promoting food safety and guest satisfaction. The role also involves collaboration with the kitchen staff to support cooking preparations, such as assisting with the preparation of Red Lobster's signature Cheddar Bay biscuits and other prep tasks.
The position requires someone who is physically capable of managing the demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, reaching, and remaining on their feet for extended shifts lasting 8 to 12 hours. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to multitask, and works well in a team environment, with every decision being made with the guests and team in mind. Following safety and cleanliness protocols strictly is essential to maintain the restaurant's high standards.
