This seasonal position offers $21.00 per hour and runs from November through January, providing a valuable chance for individuals to gain experience in a high-volume restaurant environment while earning competitive pay. Seasonal Deli/Food Service employees have the opportunity to develop and refine their culinary skills, working with different food preparation techniques and learning to execute recipes accurately according to Buc-ee's standards. Employees will be trained on-site, making this an excellent role for quick learners who are eager to acquire new skills and comfortable working across multiple food stations. Responsibilities will also include adhering to strict health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to ensure safe food handling practices and maintaining a clean and organized workstation while delivering quick and friendly service. Effective communication with store management and coworkers is essential in this role, along with the ability to operate various kitchen appliances and technology, including ordering kiosks and kitchen management systems. Flexibility is key as employees may be required to cover duties outside their normal responsibilities, work rotating shifts between day and night, and support weekend and holiday schedules as needed. The role necessitates physical stamina, including prolonged standing or walking and frequent bending, stooping, and lifting up to 40 pounds. While prior experience in restaurant or retail environments such as kitchen line cook, busser, server, expediter, or other service roles is preferred, Buc-ee's welcomes applicants without experience who are eager to learn and develop within the company.
