The Culinary Lead, also known as the Hourly Kitchen Manager, plays a pivotal role in the success of each CAVA restaurant location. This leadership position requires a hardworking, detail-oriented individual who is not only passionate about food but also skilled in leading and coaching a team. The Culinary Lead is responsible for supervising and inspiring the grill and prep teams and Special Ops trainers. This role involves a number of key responsibilities that include opening or closing the restaurant, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, learning essential food and beverage management skills such as ordering and inventory organization, and developing leadership abilities to effectively support and grow their teams. As the heartbeat of the kitchen, the Culinary Lead ensures operations run smoothly while delivering delectable meals that keep guests coming back. The role demands physical stamina as it involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in various temperature conditions from hot grills to cold storage areas. Additionally, the position requires a high level of communication and coordination with different team members to sustain an efficient, safe, and friendly work environment.
