At its Orange, Connecticut location, Glanbia Nutritionals is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join the Warehouse department reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor. This role is an hourly paid position demanding accountability, accuracy, and efficiency in the handling of materials within the warehouse environment. The Material Handler plays a critical role in ensuring materials are moved physically and electronically with precision to support the company’s manufacturing and distribution processes. The Material Handler’s responsibilities include physically moving, racking, and electronically scanning raw materials and finished goods. This involves performing timely and accurate cycle counts to manage and maintain inventory integrity. The role requires loading and unloading trucks with palletized and floor-loaded goods and restacking pallets when necessary to optimize space and safety. Use of hand-held scanners for transactional entries and the operation of forklifts and scissor lifts are essential skills for this position, emphasizing the need for thorough training or existing certification. The position requires adherence to established productivity and quality standards, including compliance with pick tickets, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other required documentation. The Material Handler is also expected to work safely, checking work for accuracy, and participating in continuous training to enhance performance. Recommendations to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and safety are encouraged to contribute to the department’s ongoing success.
