The position covers all assigned routes within a station’s service area, ensuring comprehensive coverage across the station’s network. Couriers are responsible for maintaining positive customer interactions and handling related customer service functions to enhance the overall delivery experience. This full-time role offers a variable schedule and requires the ability to travel to different stations within the region, providing flexibility and regional support as needed. The pay for this position is competitive, starting at $22.30 per hour, reflecting FedEx’s commitment to valuing its employees' contributions. The role demands physical capability, including the ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds and maneuver heavier items with assistance or equipment. In addition, the Courier/Swing Driver/DOT-1 must meet the federal motor carrier safety regulations, including obtaining and maintaining a valid driver’s license appropriate for the assigned vehicle type and passing necessary medical exams. • high school diploma or GED
• must be at least 21 years old
• six months courier experience preferred
• ability to lift 50 lbs
• ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with assistance
• good human relations and verbal communication skills
• knowledge of station's service area preferred
• meet and maintain federal motor carrier safety regulations
• valid driver's license and good driving record
• ability to work safely and maintain alertness
• pass medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
