Core Spaces (Core) is a visionary real estate investment management company that transcends traditional boundaries by focusing not only on properties but on the people who inhabit them. Established in 2010, Core is a vertically integrated firm dedicated to acquiring, developing, and managing premium residential communities within the student housing and build-to-rent (BTR) markets. Its portfolio encompasses over 48,000 student housing beds under ownership or management, with an additional pipeline of nearly 50,000 beds in development. Core's BTR division features more than 3,000 homes either under development, currently leasing, or planned across high-growth metropolitan areas in the United States. The company’s culture is deeply rooted in six core values – PUSH (Invent Better Places to Live), GRIT (We Got This), LIFT (Help Each Other Win), SHINE (Bring Your Full Self), UPHOLD (Never Break Trust), and GROW (Always Get Better). These principles shape a collaborative, innovative workplace dedicated to enhancing the resident experience and pushing the boundaries of modern living. Core Spaces is proud to offer a work environment that fosters belonging, creativity, and growth, complemented by competitive pay, generous paid time off, paid holidays, parental leave, volunteer time off, comprehensive health plan options, wellness resources, an employee assistance program, and robust retirement plans including 401(k) matching and Roth options. The role of Porter at Core Spaces is essential to the ongoing maintenance and presentation of the company’s residential properties. A Porter works directly on-site, ensuring that groundskeeping and cleaning tasks are executed promptly and to the highest standards. This position involves a variety of duties ranging from waste removal and preparation for haulage, to sweeping and mopping common areas and amenities such as swimming pools. Maintaining the landscaping and exterior cleanliness helps uphold the curb appeal and overall aesthetic of Core’s properties, supporting the brand’s commitment to a premium resident experience. The Porter is expected to work a full shift on-site, including additional hours or overtime as needed during peak times such as move-ins and move-outs. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and performing repetitive tasks involving bending and stooping throughout the workday. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in maintenance or skilled trades, particularly within the student housing or multifamily housing industries, although proficiency in simple computer tasks is also valued. High school education or its equivalent is preferred. Reporting to the Community Engineering Manager, the Porter plays a vital role in maintaining the high standards that define Core Spaces and supports a positive living environment for residents.
