We are currently seeking a hardworking, team-oriented Full-Time Cook who takes pride in preparing fresh, flavorful, and visually pleasing meals within a positive, people-focused workplace. The position offers reasonable working hours, with a schedule from 11am to 7:30pm including rotating weekends, allowing you to maintain a healthy balance between your professional and personal life. The salary for this cook position ranges from $16 to $21.20 per hour, reflecting competitive compensation within the senior care hospitality industry.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing food in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local standards and regulations. Closely following Park Place’s established policies and procedures, as well as guidance from the Executive Director, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality food service at all times. Your responsibilities will encompass reviewing menus and preparing meals as specified, accommodating individual orders from residents or guests with care and attention to detail, and assisting with food preparation tasks such as cutting, marinating, and precooking.
Additionally, you will prepare and serve meals that are not only palatable but also appetizing in appearance, all while adhering to portion control guidelines and dietary procedures. Maintaining a sanitized and organized work area is paramount for health and safety. You will be expected to keep food areas stocked, promptly alert management of inventory needs, and collaborate efficiently with your fellow kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service. At the end of each shift, proper storage of unused items and shutting down equipment at your station are essential duties.
