The Line Cook position is a seasonal opportunity at Tahoe Mountain Club, offering an hourly wage range of $17.00 to $25.00, depending on experience and skill level. This role is essential in supporting the culinary operations of the club by preparing and cooking menu items to the club’s exacting standards. The seasonal nature of this position demands flexibility, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the fluctuating demands of the club's service schedule. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for cooking a variety of food items, handling equipment like grills, fryers, and ovens, and ensuring that all dishes meet the club’s quality and presentation expectations.
This role places a strong emphasis on teamwork, communication, and adherence to food safety and sanitation practices. The ideal candidate will bring previous line cook experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment such as a private club or fine dining establishment, along with strong attention to detail and a passion for culinary arts. Responsibilities include preparing ingredients, cooking menu items according to recipes, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, assisting in inventory management, and supporting the chef with menu planning and staff training. Exceptional personal grooming, professional conduct, and a cooperative attitude are essential, as the role requires collaboration with both front-of-house and back-of-house teams to achieve service goals effectively. Reporting lines include the Lead Line Cook, Sous Chef, Executive Chef, and Food and Beverage Director, ensuring organized and efficient kitchen operations.
