The current opportunity is for a full-time Cook position located at Atrium Macon, 777 Hemlock Street HB 141, Macon, Georgia 31201. This role offers an hourly pay rate of $16.00, with a variable daytime schedule that includes rotating weekends. Candidates are encouraged to apply online for this immediate opening. The Cook will play an integral role in preparing high-quality meals that adhere strictly to federal, state, and corporate standards and regulations. Responsibilities include following standardized recipes, ensuring portion control, maintaining appropriate serving temperatures, and prioritizing the attractive presentation of meals. Attention to food safety practices, including adherence to HACCP guidelines, is critical for this role. In addition to meal preparation and service, the Cook will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen environment, including proper storage of food supplies and maintenance of kitchen equipment. The position also involves assisting in inventory processes such as ordering and receiving food and supplies, as well as participating in production planning and record keeping. The role demands strong communication and teamwork abilities, fostering positive relationships with coworkers, managers, and healthcare facility staff.
