Currently, Invited is seeking a Cook 2 to join its culinary team. This role is integral to maintaining the high culinary standards expected across its clubs. The Cook 2 position involves the setup, food preparation, and meticulous organization of an assigned workstation. This role demands a commitment to quality in food preparation and presentation, including daily specials, salads, entrees, and a broad range of menu items. In addition to food prep, the Cook 2 is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen. This role requires close coordination with Cook 1 and Cook 3 team members to ensure seamless kitchen operations, consistent quality, and efficient workflow.
The Cook 2 is a junior-level culinary position that offers growth beyond the Cook 1 responsibilities, empowering the individual to take on more complex kitchen tasks. This role also supports the leadership and expertise of the Cook 3, occasionally taking charge of the shift in their absence. Responsibilities extend beyond cooking to include receiving and storing kitchen goods, managing condiments and dressings, assisting in menu planning, recipe development, and ensuring compliance with all safety practices.
This role reports directly to the Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or Executive Chef and is expected to maintain professional interactions with members, guests, and colleagues, contributing to a positive and proactive team environment. The position may involve preparing tailored meals for guests with specific dietary restrictions and assisting with small group or special event catering. The work schedule includes adherence to weekly attendance requirements and may require additional hours including weekends and holidays to meet operational deadlines.
Ideal candidates for the Cook 2 position have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least four years of kitchen experience, and valid Food Handler Certifications compliant with local regulations. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately are essential. Physical demands of the role include standing for extended periods, working in varied temperature conditions, and handling loads up to 100 pounds.
