The position available at Parkhurst Dining offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and quality service. The role focuses on the preparation of meals adhering strictly to Parkhurst Dining's recipes, producing quality and quantity consistent with operational standards, and maintaining strict sanitary conditions. The pay rate for this position ranges between $16 and $20 per hour, with a preference for candidates who can work evening or PM shifts. In this role, the team member is responsible for managing the food production process for the day’s meal service. This involves preparing food according to specific recipes and batch cooking methods to ensure consistency and quality. Maintaining food quality throughout the service period is essential, alongside managing proper presentation and accurate serving temperatures. A critical part of the role is communication—team members must keep open lines of communication with servers and management to ensure a seamless dining experience.
Additional responsibilities include completing daily production sheets, properly storing and dating food items, and following strict guidelines regarding the use of leftovers in accordance with HACCP standards. Team members must adhere to a rigorous cleaning schedule utilizing 'clean as you go' techniques to maintain optimal hygiene and sanitation in the kitchen. There is also an emphasis on teamwork, with the expectation to assist fellow team members whenever possible.
