This position works under the Housekeeping Management Team to ensure that rooms meet the brand's time, product, and placement standards. The work involves cleaning guest rooms, sanitizing bathrooms, restocking supplies, and occasionally working in the commercial laundry area to handle linens and laundry operations. The Room Attendant is responsible not only for cleaning but also for responding to guest requests and complaints in accordance with Sonesta's service standards known as G.U.E.S.T. This position demands attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently, and a commitment to delivering quality service that meets or exceeds hotel standards. Employees in this position must be adaptable and ready to engage in various physical activities such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods throughout their shifts, which may occur during mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. • Some previous housekeeping experience preferred
• previous background from the extended stay industry preferred
• ability to speak, read, and write fluent English is preferred
• basic reading, writing and mathematical abilities are preferred
• frequently standing up, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility
• carrying, lifting or pulling items weighing up to 75 pounds
• regular use of commercial cleaning chemicals
• willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
