This part-time Cook position at Red Lobster offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from USD 14.81 to USD 25.00, with weekly pay and flexible scheduling to accommodate various lifestyles. As a Cook, your primary responsibility is to ensure that every dish leaving the kitchen meets Red Lobster’s high standards for taste, presentation, and food safety. You will be responsible for setting up and stocking prep and line stations, maintaining cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment and utensils, and diligently checking the freshness and quality of ingredients. Attention to detail is crucial as you prepare, season, and cook food in accordance with established recipes and portion control guidelines.
Maintaining a sanitary and safe kitchen environment is a key focus of this role. You will routinely inspect food preparation and serving areas along with kitchen tools to enforce adherence to food safety practices and health regulations. Flexibility is essential as you may be called upon to fill in for fellow cooks or cover different kitchen stations during peak business hours to maintain smooth operations.
The physical demands of this job require the ability to bend, reach, squat, and safely lift up to 30 pounds. Standing for shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours is typical, and a strong team-oriented mindset with attention to detail and multitasking capabilities is necessary to succeed.
