The Concierge role at The Neighborhood at Vestavia Hills is a pivotal position, serving as the first point of contact for potential residents, their families, guests, and visitors. This role operates Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, with every other weekend required, which underscores its critical function in maintaining the welcoming atmosphere and smooth operation of the community’s entryway. The Concierge's responsibilities encompass greeting visitors warmly, managing incoming calls, and facilitating communications with various departments within the community. A Concierge at this community plays an essential role in supporting the marketing and sales efforts by providing insightful information about the community to prospective residents and their families in collaboration with the Community Engagement Director and the Executive Director. In addition to resident and visitor interactions, the Concierge supports the Associate Director and HR Designee by assisting in the recruitment process of new team members, demonstrating the importance of this role in staffing and operational success. Other administrative duties include computer data entry, monitoring the Bistro area to ensure it is maintained with refreshments, cleanliness, appropriate music, and a pleasant atmosphere, further contributing to the overall resident and visitor experience. The ideal candidate for this position would bring strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and a caring attitude that reflects the values of a senior living community. The Concierge must be adept at handling calls promptly with appropriate greetings, carefully taking messages, and managing appointments for residents and their families. Additional tasks include sending thoughtful get-well and sympathy cards on behalf of the community, always maintaining a personal touch that reinforces the family-like environment established at The Neighborhood at Vestavia Hills. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.
