The role of Community Porter - Custodian at Centerspace is an essential position within their property maintenance team, responsible for preserving the appearance, cleanliness, and overall upkeep of the community properties. This part-time role based in Parkhouse - Thornton, CO operates on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a base hourly salary starting at $19.00, competitive PTO, and a range of additional benefits. The Community Porter helps ensure an excellent first impression of the apartment interiors and common areas, playing a pivotal part in resident satisfaction and the overall maintenance of the property. The job duties include routine janitorial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, waxing, vacuuming, emptying waste baskets, dusting surfaces, and cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, and community spaces. Maintaining cleanliness extends to both indoor elements like windows, mini-blinds, and appliances, and outdoor areas including balconies, patios, walkways, and parking garages.
In addition to janitorial duties, this position requires assisting with light maintenance including handling in-home service requests and preventative maintenance tasks. The Community Porter manages cleaning supplies and equipment, following occupational safety standards and ensuring hygiene protocols are consistently met. The role may also involve occasional snow removal, weed control, and groundskeeping to keep the property neat and safe. Candidates must be able to read, interpret safety and procedural documents, handle basic mathematical calculations, and communicate effectively with supervisors and residents. Physical stamina is essential, as the role demands frequent standing, walking, lifting, and use of hands for physical tasks. - Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds frequently and more than 25 pounds occasionally with assistance

- Must follow OSHA and company safety policies
