The role of the Madison, Wisconsin Community Ambassador at Yelp is an exciting, part-time remote position designed for individuals who are passionate about their city and eager to promote its local businesses. Working from home or anywhere with WiFi, the Community Ambassador acts as the face of Yelp in Madison, fostering a lively community that thrives on peer recommendations and genuine local insights. This position involves a dynamic mix of event planning, social media management, marketing skills, and community engagement. The Community Ambassador collaborates closely with local business owners and community organizers to organize events that highlight Madison’s unique offerings and develop Yelp’s presence in the region. In this role, you will manage the local Yelp Elite squad, a dedicated group of active Yelpers known for their engaging content such as detailed reviews and vivid photos. You will foster these relationships by hosting exclusive Yelp Elite events and keeping members well-informed about city happenings. Additionally, you will curate and grow Yelp’s social media channels, particularly Instagram and Twitter, to showcase the best local businesses and experiences. The Community Ambassador also builds themed Yelp collections for the Local Yelp newsletter, providing weekly highlights of must-visit spots across Madison. To succeed as a Community Ambassador, you should have strong communication skills, a deep knowledge of Madison’s local scene, and the ability to work independently. The role requires a minimum weekly commitment of 19 hours, with a flexible schedule that allows you to balance your responsibilities effectively. This position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $21.00 to $28.00, depending on experience and location.
