This full-time Housekeeper (Environmental Services Technician) position at Saint Alphonsus Health System in Boise offers an exciting and impactful role within the healthcare industry. The role is situated at the Regional Medical Center off I-184 and Curtis Road, with a day shift schedule from Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, including every other weekend. The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for hospital staff, visitors, and patients, directly contributing to infection prevention and patient safety. Responsibilities include cleaning and disinfecting various hospital areas, preparing patient rooms by replenishing supplies, cleaning floors, making beds, and handling the collection, storage, and disposal of medical-related items. Additionally, Housekeepers may engage in project work such as cleaning carpets and refrigerators. This position demands a self-motivated, friendly individual who is comfortable adhering to safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment when working around blood and bodily fluids. Physical demands include frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, and twisting.
